I was hoping for a bit more than `renderings´ of the enclosure options (and maybe even windsrean wipers). What I don´t need is pictures of `young people´ saying "Whee!"  and looking happy while driving around the block.

When the A Team stops doing what they say, I'll cancel my reservation.  I have no idea if the 2017 production target is on schedule, but I expect the update announcement in the December Newsletter one day next week.

I don't recall seeing a delivery target for the first production SRK (I guess I missed it.) What date(s) have been provided by Arcimoto?

Last I heard it was late 2016 or early 2017. That's vague enough that we have a few months before we should get really concerned. But rumor has it they may put a more specific timeline in the upcoming newsletter.

Arcimoto We have a newsletter in the hopper that details our production plan and timeline, including build, delivery, and testing of Signature Series vehicles and projected production ramp. However, there are a couple events that could affect that timeline that are both on the verge of resolving, so we have held off on that newsletter in order to be as accurate in our projected timeline and confident in achieving our stated goals as possible. We will send out a newsletter by the end of the year regardless of whether or not those events actually resolve.

Hopefully, those issues Arcimoto mentioned in the above Facebook quote resolve over the next 6 days.  

The problem is this time of year people are busy resolving social/family party issues and making New Years resolutions, not focusing on resolving work issues for why things didn't happen in 2016.  

Expect the worst, prepare for the best.  Happy New Year!

Arcimoto Facebook quote to my question regarding a progress issue with the targeted 2016 production schedule:  "We have been targeting the first unit through our production line by the end of the year.  This is still our target."  July 10, 2016. 


Since that statement the ETC build was completed, but there has been no SRK Signature Series completed, delivered, and road tested which is a critical requirement for that first unit to roll off the production line.  My opinion is that Arcimoto is well behind their target schedule.

My preference is that Arcimoto under promises and over delivers and not follow Elio Motor's series of production delay announcements.

Arcimoto starts the discussion when they mention timelines.  I'm beyond tempted discussing anticipated timelines  after following the SRK concept since 2007 and placing my first reservation deposit on Arcimoto's talk of production targets back in 2011.  When it still hadn't reached production in 2012 Arcimoto happily refunded my reservation deposit request.  The Gen 8 reveal provided me with a renewed SRK interest along with a 2nd reservation deposit, but I'm sensing the same discussion regarding production dates that may or may not happen. 

Arcimoto essentially uses the same promised targeted production schedules as all the others.  The difference is Arcimoto is a far more credible Team with simple refundable only reservations and inhouse talent beyond marketing specialists.  My point on under promise and over deliver is give me a realistic 2019 targeted production schedule and deliver in 2018.  I new back in July, when I asked the are you still on target Facebook question that they weren't on schedule without the ETC build completed and so did they when making the BS reply, "still on target".  IMO

All is good!  A planned SRK or Solo purchase for me in 2017.  I'm hoping for a good news ANTICIPATED production timeline "in the hopper" December Newsletter by the end of this week.
