So quite a while back before the Gen 8 mule was revealed, I was comparing the Gen 7 design to the shuttles from Star Trek (being a big science fiction nerd). I posted this side-by-side photo:
But when the Gen8 came out, it was a way different shape. I couldn't find a spaceship that looked like it. So I had a little Photoshop fun.
I can't remember what prompted me to Photoshop Rocket Raccoon into Blue a few months later, but that also happened.

I´d appreciate the new SRK `enclosures´ more .... if they´d been reality, instead of just an artist´s rendering.

I appreciate the fact that the A Team is in the process of designing and engineering the enclosures, are getting closer to fabrication and tool up to build them. The good news is that the enclosure panels are optional and don't slow up the base SRK production model.
The enclosures are complex with functional windows and gull wing doors being designed and engineered to fit the new frame dimensions.

Rick, the latest enclosure renderings do not look as if the doors are still `gull wing´.

They did suggest that the latest render will not likely be the final product, but they also never claimed that the "eagle wing door" (as they call it) would be the final design either. Anything could still happen.

I'm good with a door, any door, but the eagle wing door concept would provide for amazing access to both the driver's seat and passenger seat for ease of loading and unloading. Time will tell.

I'd like a sliding door like the rear doors on my Caravan.
That would allow me to park in some spots that the Gull-wing wouldn't.

How about a split door, top opening up, bottom opening down, like a Piper Cub? One really cool thing about the Cub is you can fly with the door open.
