Big Grin Hello From Brandon FL
Posted by: FlashGordon - 03-07-2024, 06:33 PM - Forum: Introduce Yourself - Replies (1)

Last Friday March 1, 2024 we took delivery of our 2023 MUV for our motorcycle shop and a FUV which will be our service loaner. Looking forward to putting some miles on these.

  The Barkimoto?
Posted by: suem - 03-05-2024, 02:30 AM - Forum: Upgrades and Options - Replies (1)

There was one youtube video where an add on "platform" (jokingly referred to as the barkimoto-looked a little like a motorcycle side car but bolted straight onto the frame of the arcimoto) was shown for the arcimoto to give your pet (i.e. dog or other small four footed beast) a place to ride on your arcimoto.  I'm saying that's something I'd be up to purchase and wondering if it's still something they're going to release at some point.  At least with two seats fido can be strapped into the back seat but that takes up the other human seat in the process.  I'm planning to get doors just because I think it would be safer for a pet in the second seat but that platform seems like a really good idea other than it will make the vehicle a little bit wider I'm thinking.

Anyone in NC bought one yet?
Posted by: suem - 03-05-2024, 02:06 AM - Forum: Purchase and Delivery - No Replies

I live in Jacksonville NC was wondering how delivery is working here now that officially these are being sold in NC.  Obviously I'm interested in avoiding the need to spend a large sum to get the vehicle to my front door.  If there's a "brick and mortar" office or an affiliate not able to find them.  So if I bought a vehicle in 2024 what am I going to have to do to get it to my doorstep?   Huh

  12v Light Always On
Posted by: CaptKnots - 02-15-2024, 07:31 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (1)

Hi.  My 12v light is always on.   I've had two battery replacements and the breaker reset has been done multiple times with no success.   Any insight?   Thanks, Jim.

PS Can anybody tell me the specifics on the 12v battery in case I have purchase an aftermarket replacement? Thx.

  Hello from North Carolina

Hi all
I'm an old retired chick living in north carolina looking to get an arcimoto.

I've talked to a couple of electricians about installing a 220V outlet that the Arcimoto can charge from.  I don't know if it's just that no one is familiar yet or they're trying to make me feel like an idiot so they can pad the bill.  I've been telling them class two EV plug 220v at 30 Amps although reading here it sounds like the arcimoto never actually draws anything close to the 30 Amps for safety reasons which I can understand.  I'm a reasonably technologically educated person at least with 110 and 12v and 5v as I build computers but must confess I don't know much about 220v and it sounds like there are a myriad of different plugs which I sort of knew from some past experiences with household devices.

I just talked to two electricians today one didn't ask a lot of questions gave me a price of 1100.00 which seems a bit high.  The second guy wanted to do a little more research on the Arcimoto because he wanted to be certain of which plug, said it was probably a "650" which I don't know that reference.  So I'm in here looking for the proper jargon to present to the electricians when I talk to them about an outside mounted plug for my toy.  All help appreciated.

Surprise Arcimoto cameo in Aquaman The Lost Kingdom
Posted by: CharonPDX - 12-31-2023, 07:17 AM - Forum: In the News - No Replies

In the form of being on the Nasdaq video billboard during a quick shot in Times Square that has movie-related content CGIed into other video billboards in Times Square. Which means the shot was probably filmed on the day of this: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/arcimoto_times-square-is-one-fine-place-to-fuv-activity-6991902864746983424-RtqC

(It's only a second or two shot in a montage of "news media reporting things around the world" in the movie, so semi-obviously I can't find it online.)

The late-night ride home was good, though, even with a significant boost in efficiency on the freeway.

Arcimoto + Mobius Energy working on new battery w/ ultra-fast charging
Posted by: CharonPDX - 09-27-2023, 09:41 PM - Forum: In the News - Replies (2)

Direct link: KEZI - Local electric vehicle manufacturer developing new battery for faster charging

Long story short - "working on new battery for Arcimoto's current and future customers that will allow charging in only 10 minutes."

Many of these "new battery tech allows EV charging in only 3 minutes!" are unreasonable for many reasons - notably that it would require megawatt charging stations. But to fully recharge an FUV in 10 minutes? That would only take 120kW. Something tons of stations can do.

I hope they'll offer this as a reasonably-priced upgrade for existing FUVs, especially if it increases capacity/range, too. And I presume it would change the charge port to a NACS port.

  Installing backup camera
Posted by: Gratefuljer - 08-22-2023, 03:01 AM - Forum: Upgrades and Options - No Replies

Hey folks,

I’m trying to figure out the best method for mounting my backup camera. I’m curious what others have done.
Anyone open to sharing their method?

Thanks,

Jeremy
