Thank you for removing most of the forums. In my opinion even more can be removed. Facebook’s “Arcimoto Owners” group is just one forum for everything.
I recently took possession of an FUV. The factory pin did not work and a user pin had never been entered. Eugene informed me that for $75 and I pay ship both ways they would reprogram the head unit. Not unreasonable at all... OTOH $75+ buys a lot of coffee. So I did it myself. I reset my own factory pin. If you are interested in how it can be done at home, with few tools, a few dollars in parts, a little bit of programming (one line of code), and a little DIY skills, comment on this. I will check back next Sunday to see if this gets any interest.
Thank you!

Yeah, I agree making it more like FB is nice. But a forum does work differently so while I was hacking at the sub forums I tried to walk a path between FB and what a forum does, which is categorize posts.
I am interested in this. I’d love to write it up and share for all. Or you can post a step-by-step directions and/or video. I usually host videos on youtube (like how to adjust your parking brake).

If you want to post a separate post and describe what you mean by “bricked” we might be able to help you.

My FUV is bricked because the battery cells which are only a few years old do not seem to be able to hold very much charge like it did when new (took delivery from Arcimoto in late 2020),... AND just after three years of use the on-board battery charger broke (so it needs to be replaced)
Basically am hesitant to spend time and effort replacing the on board battery charger when the on board battery would go from 80% indicated charge to something like 30% indicated charge after only about 14 miles running of errands around the urban core of San Diego (i.e. I wasn't' driving on the freeway so my average speed was basically about 35 mph)

If you are comparing your SOC in the winter or during cold weather, the battery doesn't hold nearly as much charge. That is because it isn't heated, not due to degradation. If you continually discharged the main battery, that is an owner issue, not FUV. The on board chargers break regularly. We all know this. The FUV needs to be redesigned to use a different on board charger. Our first FUV is on its 3rd on board charger, our second Arcimoto is on its 2nd (with only 800 miles on it), and our third Arcimoto is also on its second. You can check battery health by hooking up to the BMS:

I think some people have had wild charge swings occur because of some issue with the charger and not necessarily a problematic battery. I obviously can't say for certain, but at the least it might be worth seeing if there's a good way to test their integrity before calling it a lost cause.

Yup, we had a BMS go bad so when you start up, it would show 70%, drop to 40%, go back up to 60%, etc. Then it wouldn’t charge the 12v battery because the BMS reported the main battery incorrectly. It’s doing fine now and has the same LiFePO4 12v battery that wouldn’t charge, except it charges now. Apparently some other Orion BMSs have gone bad for whatever reason. Right now I’m using a ton of battery just to go a few miles, but that’s because it is cold. I do have a drop off at around 36% SOC so once I get down there I try not to go over 40mph. Earl doesn’t have those issues.

Yes, you are right. This should be fine. I'm going to post the factory pin instructions in a new post. I'm not sure if multiple pics should just be stitched into one or entered individually.
