It is a radiator, I think it is cooling the electric motors, but it could be the batteries as well.

What I heard at factory open house is that the batteries would not need specific cooling - like the Leaf batteries. I hope it is true. One of the big advantages of EVs is the simplicity and I see the need for a water cooling system to be an added complication which I hope will eventually not needed. The Leaf has some problems with their initial batteries, particularly in warm climates but they redesigned them to handle the issue.
