If you want to rent a Can-Am Spyder you can travel to Frankfurt am Main and rent one. So they must be legal to drive in Germany. My guess is that European dealerships are just getting started.

Thanks Dan! But (a) Frankfurt is just a tad too far from where I live, and (b) it reminds me of all those little bot-bellied men on Honda Goldwings (with great big radio antennas on the back and sometimes even with a trailer for the sandwiches)
