Regard charging- the critical thing for me about charging is what the charger can handle and what is best for the batteries. Overheating the batteries is not good. It will be interesting what Arcimoto has for BMS . Some BMS had temperature sensors. 
The super chargers only charge to 80% and then slow down.

To be a little more precise, when charging it is the *vehicle* that determines how much to draw (based on what the EVSE or DCFC tells it, but it is still the car that determines the current draw). So it is the *vehicle* that "slows down" the charging, not the charger itself. (Although there are DC chargers that will simply stop charging at 80%.)
