Two Arcimoto updates in one week? Well, we have more good news to share, so share we will. First and foremost...
THE FACTORY
Ladies and gentlemen, we have finalized our factory negotiations! Located here in Eugene, OR, not far from our design studio, this big (~30,000 ft2) empty box is the perfect space to build out our first assembly line, with room to execute the automated Phase 2 production plan immediately following. After a decade incubating the venture in the crucible of our design studio, the build team is ecstatic to have the room to begin delivering on the vision.
Be ready to receive an invite to our factory open house and IPO celebration!

Speaking of which, Forbes caught wind of our whole “going public” thing, and they had some nice things to say:
“Arcimoto intends to become the second pure play EV company to make a NASDAQ public offering - the first being Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA), of course.” and "My sense is that Arcimoto has established a modern-era high water mark of capital efficiency by developing their new vehicle with so little invested capital."

IMPACT
And they weren’t the only ones to hear about our IPO. CrowdDoing, a volunteer group from Advance Social Innovation, whose mission is to assist social enterprises (enterprises that help communities by solving their difficult problems) to grow, got so stoked about Arcimoto that they worked up an awesome and voluminous (28 page!) Another whirlwind summer is almost in the books. Here’s what we’ve been doing while the business team has been out gallivanting around the country.
SIGNATURE SERIES
We’re super close to having the first two Signature Series Arcimotos on the road. The first chassis is assembled and powder-coated, the first battery module is assembled, and shell pieces are out for plugs and tooling. It’s looking amazing; we’d love to show you but we promised the build team we wouldn’t until it’s done. We’re expecting the first one to be on wheels and moving under its own power before summer ends. Signature Series customers #0 and #1 are currently picking out final color options for the bodies, and early indications suggest these are going to be the sweetest Arcimotos we’ve ever built. By a lot.
PATENT
Arcimoto’s utility patent application describing the key innovations in the Generation 8 SRK architecture was granted a Notice of Allowance by the USPTO last week. Although we have several patents in process covering aspects of our novel drive train and battery systems, this patent covers what fundamentally makes the SRK an awesome and ultra-efficient ride. For us it represents the culmination of nearly ten years of development effort to crack the electric daily driver code.
IPO
We are thrilled at the response to our Reg A+ IPO. In our team effort with our underwriter WR Hambrecht+Co and the selling group they’re leading, we’ve hit the minimum in commitments on the round, and based on the early reports from our broker/dealers, we anticipate we will qualify for a Nasdaq listing immediately following the close of the round. To that end, we have re-crafted our Offering Circular in the S-1 format required for public listing and will be submitting it to the SEC later today.
The window of opportunity to participate in this pre-listing Regulation A round is rapidly closing. We will be shutting down retail investment via the Arcimoto site this Friday, September 15. Western Mass is a beautiful place. No mile high mountains, but enough hills to keep life and travel interesting. I'm expecting a great 3-season vehicle. I don't expect the SRK to do well in snow and ice, but I will certainly give it a shot and hope for the best.

An article stated that on July 24th, there were 1603 preorders.  Mine was on July 27, so I'm just above that number.  Very interested to see the map updated, and how the SRK Density in my area is.  Hoping to be the first in my area!

What a fun time! Mark, Jessie, and Kyle were there, along with the red and blackbprototypes. I didn't participate much in the discussion, instead opting to watch the test drives and take a fresh peek at the SRKs.

Apparently the production facility situation is coming along nicely, the IPO status is "exciting" and "nothing but great news", and of course, there's a newsletter coming out "soon". The team seemed a little weary from an eventful summer but in great spirits and excited for the coming months.

So the governor of Oregon recently signed a transportation bill that (if I'm reading it right) provides a $2500 rebate for the purchase of SRKs and other inexpensive EVs. The governor has been going around like the politician she is and holding ceremonial signings in various cities. Here is today's:
